Diebold - High Frequency Spindles and Spindle Packages

Diebold supplies High Frequency Spindles and spindle units to the most recognized machine tool builders in Europe, the Americas and Asia. The company supplies spindles and spindle components of the highest quality standard, manufactured in a climate controlled factory equipped with state of the art CMM technology in class 2 clean room. The capacity is in excess of 2000 spindles per month.

High Frequency Spindles for Production, Aerospace, Moldmakers, Automotive and robot applications are made by Diebold. Spindles for HPC (high productivity cutting) and HSC (high speed cutting). We offer spindles for 5-axis machines, extra short spindles with high power (up to 90 kW) und high speed (up to 50.000 r.p.m.).

High Tech Spindles

We supply High Frequency Spindles with modern equipment such as vector controlled motors, high end unclamp systems, sensors and rotary unions for different coolant supply (coolant, MQL or air only). Some spindle models have the capability of suction through the spindle.

Spindles with the new HSK-T connection (ICTM standard)are also available.

Diebold is introducing new, especially service-friendly HSK cartridge spindles for high performance milling. The new spindle has very compact design and uses grease lubrication instead of air-oil injection that is commonly necessary for this power and speed combination. Spindle change can be done quickly and easy by the machine user due to the cartridge design. Because of very precisely machined components the spindle has less unbalance and through the clever cooling the temperature growth is reduced to a minimum.

These spindle models have power of 41 kW for use on high performance machining centers or turn-mills. Even for challenging machining the spindles do not need air-oil injected bearings and therefore the cost for the machine will be much lower since the full equipment for air-oil lubrication of the bearings is not necessary. For turning operations the spindle shaft has HSK-T taper form and they are equipped with a hydraulic clamping device of the spindle shaft. Diebold spindles impress with their perfect concentricity and running stability. Due to the tight tolerances of all components and thanks to clever cooling of the spindle motor, the growth of the spindle is very small and the unbalance level is extremely low.

All Diebold spindle models are made to the highest quality standard for runout and vibration levels. Spindle growth of Diebold spindles is very low due to the high accuracy of all components of the spindle package.

Since we manufacture all components in our climate controlled facility at 21 degree Celsius all year round and assembled in a climate controlled clean room, the quality of our high frequency spindles is second to none in the world.

For quality inspection we use the finest CMM machines available. All parts run through this quality inspection process and we have inspect and certify each part of our High Frequency Spindles.

Our spindle packages are given the same care and meticulous attention to detail as our tooling. We use only the best materials, and work with the leading manufacturers of clamping mechanisms to bring you the state of the art in HSK systems. When the customer requests a manually actuated tool retention system we typically use a Gühring system, and when the customer needs an automatic drawbar we typically use the Ott-Jakob system. While we work with all types of clamping mechanisms, the two manufacturers above have been involved in the development and manufacture of HSK tooling retention systems since their inception, and are two with whom we have the closest relationship. By combining our spindle shafts with these tooling retention systems we are able to provide the user a level of engineering excellence and practical experience that is second to none in the industry. We back up our commitment to quality with factory trained engineering and service personnel qualified in all aspects of our product line.
